Ethical Oversight Policy
For the International Journal of Communication, Science and Technology, the Ethical Oversight Policy ensures that all research published adheres to established ethical standards and responsible research practices.
1. Human Subjects Research:
Manuscripts involving human participants must comply with recognized ethical guidelines, ensuring respect, dignity, privacy, and safety of participants. Authors must confirm that the research was conducted in accordance with accepted ethical principles and that no harm or undue risk was imposed on participants.
2. Animal Research:
Studies involving animals must follow appropriate ethical standards for animal care and use, ensuring humane treatment and compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines. Authors must demonstrate that all necessary precautions were taken to minimize suffering and that the research was justified scientifically.
3. Institutional Ethics Approval:
Authors are required to obtain approval from a recognized Institutional Ethics Committee or Review Board prior to conducting research involving human or animal subjects. Details of the approval, including the name of the institution and approval reference number, must be clearly stated in the manuscript.
4. Consent Requirements:
Informed consent must be obtained from all human participants involved in the study, and authors must confirm that participants were adequately informed about the purpose, procedures, and potential risks of the research. Where applicable, consent for publication of identifiable data or images must also be secured, ensuring full compliance with ethical and legal standards.
