Conflict of Interest Policy
1. Author Conflict of Interest Policy:
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the results, interpretation, or presentation of their research. This includes personal, professional, institutional, or financial relationships that may be perceived to affect objectivity. All sources of funding, affiliations, or sponsorships must be clearly stated at the time of submission. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is free from undisclosed bias, and failure to disclose conflicts may lead to rejection or retraction of the manuscript.
2. Reviewer Conflict of Interest Policy:
Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively and must avoid any situation that could compromise impartiality. If a reviewer has any personal, professional, or academic relationship with the authors, or any competing interest related to the manuscript’s content, they must decline the review assignment. Confidentiality must be strictly maintained, and reviewers should not use any unpublished material for personal or professional advantage.
3. Editor Conflict of Interest Policy:
Editors must ensure fair and unbiased editorial decisions. They should recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where any conflict of interest exists, including relationships with authors, institutions, or competing research interests. Editorial decisions must be based solely on the academic merit, originality, and relevance of the manuscript, without influence from commercial, institutional, or personal considerations.
4. Financial and Non-Financial Conflict Policy:
The journal requires disclosure of both financial and non-financial conflicts of interest. Financial conflicts may include funding, grants, consultancy, stock ownership, honoraria, or paid expert testimony. Non-financial conflicts may involve personal relationships, academic competition, intellectual beliefs, or institutional affiliations that could influence judgment. Full transparency in declaring such interests ensures integrity, credibility, and trust in the publication process.
